My surgery could not have gone better. I was up and walking on my new knee in less than a week. Six months on and I am leading a full and active life once again. If I had known that it would be this effective I would have had the operation sooner.

Mr Clifton took my case after a failed total knee replacement in april 2009. From the offset it was clear that I had got someone to listen. Over the next three years I underwent numerous xrays, exercising and tablets to try to fine out what the problem was. It was finally decided that the only option would be a revision. This took place in November 2013. The follow up I received after my operation was fantastic and was informed what was happening every step of the way. I have now gone from strength to strength, walking and even clambering up a mountain in Armenia, no mean feat for anyone. I now have more confidencce and the pain is getting better all the time. I found Mr Clifton a very approachable person. He always made my choices very clear, outlining the risks as well as the benefits I could expect. This information allowed me confidently to make my decision about the future treatment of my knee. His expertise was impressive. My mobility and increasd comfort is a testament to it.

When I first visited Mr Clifton he put me at total ease with his confidence in what he was talking about and what he believed he could achieve in repairing/reconstructing my ACL. I had already experienced 3 reconstructions on my right knee and now my left needed the same. I am obviously somewhat of a lay expert myself and have had every procedure attempted over the last 20 years. 1 year on and my left knee ACL reconstruction is every bit as good as I could have hoped for and more!!! I have my life back with my children and work without the ill affects of anything in my left Knee, I will be going back to Mr Clifton to resolve the issues I have in my Right knee before too long. Fantastic surgeon, fantastic bedside manner, genuine person, open and willing to answer questions or concerns. I wish Rupert Clifton a long and prosperous future providing a better quality of life to the hundreds and thousands of people I am sure will pass through his surgery.

mr clifton was very caring and understanding to all my needs. everything was explained in great detail and no pressure to have the operation was given. couldn't fault him at all. i found before and aftercare was 100%
